The xx Announce 2017 North American Tour

The XX

It's okay to admit you've been listening to The xx's new single “On Hold” a minimum of three times a day. It's the catchiest, most uplifting thing the British threesome has ever released. It's got all the great ghostly guitar drone of the band's self-titled debut and moody Coexist follow up, but it's also got a beat you can skip to, and the whole thing is truly quite magical.

Then the band just dropped “Say Something Loving,” a song that's even rosy and warm in composition, some might even say slightly tropical with its quick strumming guitar. Given the high level of anticipation for The xx's third album I See You, out Friday, Jan. 13, it's only fair the band hits the road on its most celebratory of world tours.

Today (Jan. 5), fans are blessed with 24 North American tourdates. The Stateside leg of the I See You shows begin April 14 at Coachella Music Festival and cap off May 26 in Portland, ME. So far, no Southeastern dates have been announced, so cross your fingers for more. Presale tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 12 pm EST, followed by general sale Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 am local time for all stops.
