Dance Musicians React to Carrie Fisher's Death

“I felt a great disturbance in the Force … I fear something terrible has happened.”

So go the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It was the film that introduced most of the world to Carrie Fisher, the iconic actress who played Princess Leia, one of the strongest female characters the silver screen had yet seen. Fisher herself was a witty, intelligent, kind-hearted woman with a reputation that went far beyond her Star Wars fame, though it is for that legendary role she will be most fondly remembered.

Fisher passed away on Tuesday (Dec. 27) at the age of 60, after suffering a heart attack days earlier. Her legacy lives on in our hearts and in our memories. Many of your favorite DJs are huge Star Wars fans, like the rest of us. Here is how some of dance music's brethren are honoring her on social media.
