Go Behind the Scenes of Zedd's 'True Colors' Sessions in New Photos & Documentary: Exclusive

Looking back, Zedd's True Colors was a big moment for the Russian-German producer. It was a personal journey that pushed Zedd to explore not only grander themes, but also more of himself. He worked with giant pop star Selena Gomez, the rapper Logic, and a host of other collaborators, and the journey didn't end with recording either. The True Colors tour was a behemoth of a production, and outside of his official stops, he engaged in a series of fan-centric events that brought the deeper meaning of 10 of the album's tracks to life.

Suffice to say, that period was a whirlwind in Zedd's life, the kind of moment in time a superfan would kill to witness. Good thing for you superfans, DJ photographer Rukes has the access you crave. He spent loads of time with Zedd during the True Colors years, and today, he shares with Billboard Dance's readers an exclusive peek into that intimate time. From fun moments hanging with Jared Leto and Calvin Harris, to thoughtful writing sessions and Grammy celebrations, these photos capture some of the producer's most enviable moments.

Check out the gallery via Billboard Dance and Rukes' website, and be sure to see the True Colors documentary, which gives insight into Zedd's childhood, explores his hometown, and follows his fans as they compete in scavenger hunts for the chance to meet Zedd and experience those one-off, track-specific events.

The True Colors Documentary is available via iTunes, Fullscreen, Amazon, Vudu, Xbox, and Comcast.
