On a rainy Tuesday evening, the upstairs room at VNYL -- Vintage New York Lifestyle, a relatively new restaurant and bar in the East Village -- was packed with people enjoying food, drink and the music of a new holiday album curated by Jagermeister.

The album, Meister the Holidays, sees six DJs remix their favorite holiday track and arrives is in conjunction with Jagermeister's Forge New Traditions holiday campaign. "We looked to put a unique spin on holiday music by asking both established and emerging DJs to remix their favorite holiday track," Cliff Rigano, director of entertainment marketing and culture Meister for the brand tells Billboard.

The record, available exclusively on vinyl or to stream, officially launched on Dec. 6 and Jagermeister threw it a proper party. A Christmas tree adorned with mini Jager bottles and vinyl coasters greeted guests at the door while inside they had the choice of three distinct drink stations, each one serving a unique cocktail, and food such as duck tacos and mini pizzas being circulated on turntables. All the while, music from DJ Gazzo, who is featured on Meister the Holidays, filled the room with seasonal sounds.

DJ Gazzo remixed the track "Carol of the Bells" for the album, a song he tells Billboard  "has one of the most interesting and intricate string parts, which was pretty difficult to recreate." As for what made him chose this song in particular, he relates, "It was a true challenge and I felt it was one of the only ones I could whip the acoustic guitar out for."

As for the concept behind Meister the Holidays, Gazzo says, "It was super interesting working with something so iconic, but turning it into a version I think people would listen to today. 'Carol of the Bells' was written in 1914, so getting to give it a facelift over a hundred years later was a great opportunity."
