The xx made its Saturday Night Live debut Saturday (Nov. 19), and the appearance made for some serious grooves.

To kick off their big SNL night, the British trio played their new single "On Hold" off the band's forthcoming record I See You. With producer Jamie xx providing the beats, singers Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim offered some smooth vocals to make for one vibing performance.

The bouncy energy continued when The xx took the stage once more to perform another new track, "I Dare You," which had Jamie and the gang even more amped. The song's upbeat melody resulted in head bopping from both the band members and those watching.

Once The xx finished its SNL appearance, it was clear that Jamie, Croft and Sim all appreciated the opportunity, as all they could do after their performance was smile from ear to ear. Considering there's less than two months until The xx drops its next album I See You is expected to arrive Jan. 13), the group definitely has more than enough reasons to grin.
