Idris Elba presents the Global Icon Award on stage at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2016 on Nov. 6, 2016 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

I first fell in love with Idris Elba when my grandma had me binge watch the show Luther. My grandma loved Elba, and of course, so did I. Imagine how I swooned when I heard he was not only a fantastic actor, but a skilled DJ and house producer, so skilled that Fatboy Slim sang his praises.

The London-based artist of many talents has focused heavily on his music career in recent months. He remixed Crookers, released a joint track with Fatboy under his namesake alias Norman Cook, and today, he gives the world a swingin' tune called “Make It Bump.”

It's playful and addictive with underlying rock elements, similar in ways to old-school '90s Fatboy Slim vibes. It's easy to see why the pair enjoy each other's company. “I always wanted to be a DJ, man,” the voice calls through filters and drums. Mission accomplished, sir.

“Make It Bump” is available through Elba's own label 7Wallace. Listen to it below courtesy of Billboard Dance.
