Major Lazer's fourth album Music is the Weapon may be slated for release in January 2017. When asked about music teased in the producer's Snapchat, Diplo responded to a fan via Twitter that new Major Lazer music was coming at the start of the year.

He doesn't explicitly say in this Tweet if the impending release is the much-anticipated album exactly, but he doesn't say it won't be either. Billboard Dance has reached out for official confirmation.

Major Lazer is running high on the success of its Justin Bieber collab “Cold Water.” Earlier this year, Diplo confirmed that Usher, Sam Hunt, Travis Scott, and others have recorded with the group.
