We can't say much about Schimanski, but we can say the new venue is definitely set to open November of 2016 in the space formerly beloved as Brookyln's underground dance club Verboten.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts are all active for the new club, whose address is listed as 54 N. 11 St., New York City. According to a sparse blue website, Schimanski (named after a fictional policeman in a German crime drama) will open to the public sometime in November, but posts on Instagram promote a pre-opening party Oct. 31, with open bar from 9 to 10 p.m. with RSVP online.

Verboten was closed in March by New York State government officials for not paying taxes. The property was bought by former Pacha NYC owner Eddie Dean in July for a cool $1.2 million. Dean said in a press release the new club would be “dedicated to the creative ethos of Brooklyn and [to] serve as an outpost for the global dance music scene.”
