Calvin Harris released his new single, "My Way," on Thursday night, after teasing its arrival all week on Twitter.

While Harris frequently enlists guest vocalists for his songs, he decided to sing the lyrics of the new tropical house track himself.

"You were the one thing in my way," Harris repeats over and over, which will inevitably have listeners wondering if he is singing to his recent ex, Taylor Swift.

This isn't the first time the producer decided to use his own voice: He also sang his hits "Feels So Close" and "Summer."

In an interview with iHeartRadio, Harris says the time was right for him to use his own vocals. "I like to sing on a song every two or three years, or so," he said. "I just kind of thought it was a bit of a curve ball. I kind of like the idea of just tracking something out without a celebrity guest feature, and I think the vocal works so why not."
