Kastle Announces Second LP 'Reflections,' Premieres Seductive Single 'Visions:' Exclusive

Fans have come to love the label Symbols for rich experimentalism with a sensual edge. The brand's bass-infused R&B can be harsh and metallic, deep and luxurious, spacey and off-kilter. Finding the next sound is a job founder Kastle takes very seriously, but it can be a distracting one, and in many ways, it totally killed his own creative vibe.

A year ago, the Los Angeles-based producer felt lost in his own studio, too caught up in the race to find new artists than hear the artistic voice within. That's no good for a producer nor a label head, so Kastle left the city and shacked up in the suburbs to dive into a period of self-exploration and imagination. The result is an explorative, emotional 12 tracks he calls Reflections, out on official release Oct. 14.

Big Makk's Posthumous LP Shows Unique Voice and Versatility: Listen

"While writing this album, it became apparent that it was also a reflection of my inner self,” the producer says. “I was finding a balance between all the different sounds I love and have been influenced by over the years. I hope that listeners will find a part of themselves in the music and form an emotional attachment on their own. Change begins within."

The first single off Reflections is “Visions,” a tune that's as funky-cool as that artsy girl in high school you always had a crush on but were too afraid to talk to. It's mysteriously playful and hints at something deeper below the surface. It's a groove, for sure. Listen to it exclusively on Billboard Dance, and head over to Kastle's website to order.
