The Chainsmokers Say Album Release Is 'Up to Our Fans'
The DJ duo took to Twitter to explain themselves, encourage fans.
The Chainsmokers took to Twitter today (Sept. 6) to reveal their plans (or lack thereof) for a new album. The chart-topping DJ duo shared their thoughts on how they consider an album to be a "big deal" and something "more complete" than just releasing new standalone music -- something they will continue to do.
But when it comes to releasing a full-length body of work, they say that will be determined by their fans and how badly they want one. Check out the tweets below.
Every interview we do these days asks us about a potential album. We always say we would love to but it's up to our fans if they want one.— THE CHAINSMOKERS (@TheChainsmokers) September 6, 2016
we will always continue to release music. But an album is something different. Something more complete that reflects a time in our lives— THE CHAINSMOKERS (@TheChainsmokers) September 6, 2016
An album is a big deal, not just a compilation of random singles, that's how we see it. But if u all start making some noise for one.. Well— THE CHAINSMOKERS (@TheChainsmokers) September 6, 2016
