If anyone knows how to best curate a raucous, crowd-elevating party playlist, its the dubstep don himself, Flux Pavilion. The British DJ/producer (real name Joshua Steele) is known as an innovator of bass music as well as one of Circus Records' co-founders, and has been a major player in the dance world since his arrival back in 2008. And with the arrival of his debut LP Tesla earlier this year, he cemented his legendary status even further.

In line with his euphoric and immersive DJ sets, the 18 tracks Steele chose for our next Summer Party Playlist are eclectic and thrilling, designed to keep your personal party going all night long. Check out Steele's picks and read below to hear how the man himself keeps his own party going strong.

Billboard: Tell us about the playlist you put together. How do these songs and the overall vibe of the list speak to you as an artist and as a music fan?

Steele: I like music with attitude, music that puts you in a situation or gives you a real feeling. I love tracks when they make me feel like I'm taken to a different place, like when you listen to your favorite song and feel like you are in a scene of a movie. The vibe for the playlist is about going out to a party, and these tracks put me in that space.

What was the last really great party you attended? What was it that made it special?

I tend to be pretty reserved at a party. I sit down with some friends and talk for hours until the sun comes up, so a good party for me is one with good music and good friends, which luckily happens as often as I get time.

Tell us about the best party you ever crashed. How did you get in, who was there and what happened?

I normally jump on the decks when I end up at a party. Once crashed a Pendulum set and ended up doing a B2B with Skrillex, Kill the Noise, Knife Party and Fred Durst.

What’s your song of the summer for 2016, the one that has kept your party going all season long?

I have been hammering the Run the Jewels 2 album all year. It came out 2014 I think, but it's probably one of my favorite hip-hop records of all time. Every song is fire.

What’s your go-to track for when you need to turn up the heat on a party -- the one that always gets the crowd going, no matter what?

In my sets, it’s always “I Can't Stop.” It's one of those tracks that has just developed a life of its own, like a kid that has left home and living its own life. I play it every set and probably will forever.

What do you do right before a set to make sure you are focused and ready to give the crowd the absolute best?

You just got an invite to the best party you could possibly imagine. You have a +1 and can bring anyone with you living, dead or fictional. Who do you bring and why?

Spider Jerusalem, because I wanna be at whatever party he is at, for sure.
