M.I.A performs on stage at Lovebox 2014 at Victoria Park on July 19, 2014 in London.

Last September, M.I.A. lit up the Internet with an Instagram post that showed Skrillex working on her upcoming album, titled AIM. Now, we have the fruits of that labor in the form of a track so dope, Annie Mac had to crown it Hottest Record in the World.

“Go Off” premiered with Mac on Thursday and also features production work from Blaqstarr. “Two opposite worlds, two opposite DJs,” M.I.A. told Mac,” but that's what it's about. M.I.A., and that's the AIM: keeping people together.”

The track is sultry with heavy Mideast influence and a just-right-of-center rhythm that gives the desert trap beat some serious gangster lean. It's the first single from AIM, set for release Sept. 9. M.I.A. promises tons of collaborations from lots of different musical arenas. She also claims AIM will be the last proper album of her career.

“It's the cleanest album I have,” she says. “I just want it to be happy. There's no complaints on it. It's another side to me completely.”
