The producer Patrick Topping has both famous advocates – Green Velvet, Pete Tong -- and enough fans to propel him to the top of the Beatport charts on several occasions.

In 2013 and 2014, he unveiled a series of high-impact releases on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss's Hot Creations label. After expanding his range – putting out a second collaboration with Green Velvet, dropping the Baddie EP on Foss's Repopulate Mars – Topping returns on Hot Creations this Friday with Taking Libz, a three track release.

The 25 Greatest Dance Clubs of All-Time

Taking Libz kicks off with "Brayed," which is premiering exclusively on Billboard Dance today. The producer matches a tenacious bassline with a jovial, nonsensical lyric and a slightly dissonant touch of brass. "The EP has been in talks for months and has had many incarnations," Topping said in a statement. "But I’m very excited about these 3 tracks that we eventually went with." "Really happy for 'Brayed' to be coming out," he added, "as it sounds different from anything I've put out before and also to the other two tracks on this EP, which are moodier. I think 'Brayed' is quite an interesting and quirky track."
