Calvin Harris' impact on pop music through his own productions has been pretty clear to see. But did you know the Scottish DJ/producer runs his own record label as well?

Calvin Harris' Top 5 Biggest Billboard Hits

Harris originally founded Fly Eye Records in 2010 with a sworn vow "to release the most exciting club music I can get my hands on. There will be absolutely no shite."

1. Fly Eye Records is named after Calvin's sunglasses

Long before dating Taylor Swift and collaborating with Rihanna, our Scottish protagonist was known better for his distinctive taste in eyewear. His hand-crafted fly-eye sunglasses featured prominently on the cover of his 2009 album Ready for the Weekend, and he even created a video tutorial for fans seeking to emulate his eyeglasses (and watch him chase chickens).

2. The label's first single release was "Gecko" by Mr. Blink

3. Fly Eye alumni include future stars like Nicky Romero and Dillon Francis.

Romero released a 2011 single named Camorra on Harris' imprint, while Francis made his Fly Eye debut with 2012's "Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)." Take a listen to both below.

4. Fly Eye Records formed a partnership with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2014.

"We are thrilled to be extending our long-running relationship with Calvin Harris who stands as a true musical phenomenon of our age," Sony/ATV chairman and CEO Martin Bandier said in a statement then. "He is an international chart-topping recording artist, a hugely talented songwriter with a gift for coming up with global hit after global hit, often by himself, and he remains one of the world's most successful DJs. If he could also learn to strike the ball like Lionel Messi I'd want to come back as him in my next life."

5. Fly Eye Records' most recent release comes courtesy of Autoerotique & Hunter Siegel

Their collaboration "OTF" dropped on June 23. Check it out below.
