According to local publication BORS, the women were found by cleaners after the duo and its entourage left festival grounds. Ambulances were immediately called to treat the women who had allegedly been asked back stage by the DJs after partying to their set in the front row.

The women were taken to the hospital, though no immediate medical attention was necessary, one doctor told Hungarian publication Blikk. When questioned by police, the women don't seem to remember much of what happened.

DVBBS and two of the duo's friends were arrested by local police at the Liszt Ferenc International Airport on unrelated marijuana paraphernalia charges after failing a rapid drug test. Police statements reported by local publication 444 on Monday implied that the incidents are related, though an official statement from the group provided to Billboard says otherwise.

“We are shocked that some attendees of the Balaton Festival (sic) were victims of events which got them hospitalized,” the statement reads. “Police asked our cooperation for the investigation and of course we did what we could. Police confirmed there isn’t any link between us and what happened, that’s why we took off a couple of hours later to our next gig in ibiza. There is another case going on independently from this in connection with marijuana and we gladly answer all questions regarding this and help the police to solve the case. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Alex and Chris (DVBBS).”
