AM Only & SiriusXM Announce New Dance Music Show 'The Cookout:' Exclusive

Next week, SiriusXM's Electric Area channel will launch The Cookout -- a new show that put the power of selection in the hands of accomplished dance music artists. Gorgon City and Rudimental will kick it off in a back to back format on June 28. A new artist will take the reins each Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST.

"We are excited to get in the kitchen with AM Only to carry this new show of the very best new electronic dance music sounds from young talent," Geronimo, SiriusXM's VP of Dance Programming, said in a statement. "There will be much to love and nothing predictable about the play list. SiriusXM has built its electronic dance music reputation on playing host to the new and the next, and we are doing that again with The Cookout."

Rudimental, Gorgon City, and the Rise of Black Butter Records

Rudimental and Gorgon City will be followed on subsequent weeks by Jauz, Just Blaze, AC Slater Presents Night Bass, and more artists to be announced.

Sam Alpert, VP, Marketing, Paradigm Talent Agency and AM Only, presented the show as a good way for artists to raise their profile. "For our tour marketing team, we are always looking for new platforms to reach electronic music's core audience," he explained. "SiriusXM has built a very loyal listener base and it was a perfect fit to collaborate with them to develop a show that allows our artists another vertical to launch their tours or help them reach that audience with their new single."

Tune in to catch the first installment of The Cookout on June 28.
