Delerium's late '90s gem "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan still stands as a highly regarded dance song. Although Tiësto's and Above & Beyond's remixes remain high in popularity, they're not the only ones who were inspired to re-imagine the classic.

Alyx Ander now joins the ranks with an exclusive Billboard Dance premiere of his mellow remix. The Miami-based producer and DJ broke out last year with his hazy debut single "Close Enough," featuring Maria Z, and says that "Silence" was one of the songs that introduced him to dance music.

"It's always been one of my favorite songs, and in my opinion is one of the best dance music songs of all time," Ander said in a statement to Billboard. He requested to do the remix after seeing the success of his single on Spotify. "I wanted to keep the essence of the original, while also incorporating a few older trance/progressive elements. I'm really happy with the end result, and I think it really respects Delerium/Sarah's version while allowing me to showcase my sound."
