Madeon Praises deadmau5's Mentorship in 'Drunk' Twitter Messages

Twitter beef and deadmau5 often go hand in hand. The Canadian DJ has become notorious over the years for his long list of feuds, from Kanye West to Avicii. But amid all the back-and-forth he still has some admirers, including Madeon, who took to Twitter to express his intoxicated appreciation.

Deadmau5 shared a screenshot of Madeon's direct messages on Friday (May 6), which found the younger DJ thanking his elder for his mentorship and for helping him achieve his dreams. Deadmau5 sweetly tweeted the screenshot and a message that he's glad that he's "still capable of making some people happy."

"I have a lot of love and empathy and admiration and comprehension for you," Madeon stated in the message. "I want to give you a sincere drunken hug. I want you to be well and I'm grateful for you!"

The French producer became popular at 16 for his dance remixes, especially his 2011 mix for deadmau5's "Raise Your Weapon" that now stands with over nine million views on YouTube. Madeon went on to thank deadmau5 for approving the remix that changed his life in the message as well.

Madeon's message also prompted other up and comers to share positive words for deadmau5. REZZ tweeted back to expect a similar message of gratitude from her and SOFI also shared with deadmau5 an interview where she revealed "Mau5 changed my life."
