EDMbiz 2016 Announces Speakers and Program: Exclusive

EDMbiz Conference & Expo 2016 made its first announcement of speakers and programming today (April 19) for the annual industry event's fifth edition.

Keynote speakers will include Moby, Bob Lefsetz and Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella, who will be making his first-ever keynote appearance.

John Amato, president of Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, and Matt Medved, Billboard senior editor, dance/electronic, will unveil the publication's Dance Power Players 2016 list, acknowledging the cultural impact of the most powerful industry figures and tastemakers in dance music this year.

Other announced panelists include artists like Laidback Luke, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, Jauz, Marshmello, Junkie XL, as well as BBC Radio 1 producer and director Danny Howard, Neda Azarfar, vice president of marketing communications for The Recording Academy, and Raymond Leon Roker, founder of URB Magazine and head of content for Goldenvoice.

EDMbiz 2016 will also feature the conference's first-ever hackathon at Exchange LA, produced in partnership with CODEMKRS, producers of the official hackathons of SXSWBonnaroo, and Outside Lands.

“As the dance music industry continues to evolve, its influence is felt across mainstream radio, the festival scene, and pop culture in general,” says Rotella. “This year’s conference will bring together top artists, executives, and experience-makers to share ideas and discuss innovative ways to continue the momentum and provide invaluable advice for newcomers on how to make their mark on the scene.”
