Lady Antebellum & Audien Discuss Collaborating on 'Something Better': Exclusive

“Audien, Dimitri From Paris, Chuckie and Yolanda Be Cool all used various elements of the original version's vocals and musicianship (including Nile Rodgers' guitar) in their own way and each brought the record to a different place,” DJ Cassidy told Billboard of the remix. “It's exciting to see this song touch so many areas of dance music, all the while maintaining the explosive spirit and emotion of the main version I produced with my partner Greg Cohen.”

Audien added, “Not unlike Richie [Bobby Cannavale] on Vinyl, I have a diverse taste in music and really appreciate the opportunity to flex my versatility as a producer. The task of remixing 'Kill the Lights' with the Audien touch was made easy by Jess & Alex’s incredible vocals, and Cassidy’s keen melodic sensibility.”
