Diplo might not be a fan, but Zedd and Aloe Blacc’s update of “Candyman” enjoyed a date with the mainstream when the pair shared a classy, brassy rendition of the track for Good Morning America

Zedd & Aloe Blacc Sweeten Hot Dance/Electronic Songs With 'Candyman' Cover

Zedd (the Russian-German electronic music artist born Anton Zaslavski) ditched his typical DJ gear for a seat behind the grand piano, where he played along with an ensemble featuring horns and guitars and Blacc on vocals.

The song is a reinterpretation of Sammy Davis Jr.'s three-week 1972 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "The Candy Man" (with the Mike Curb Congregation), originally sung by Aubrey Woods in the classic 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The new version is a tie-in to the 75th anniversary of M&Ms.

Zedd shared the performance video from his YouTube channel. Watch it below.
