Dance Music's First Television Network EDMtv Set to Launch

Dance music's popularity has reached the corners of mainstream television, but now fans can tune into the first channel catered for them. The new network EDMtv, dedicated exclusively to the genre, will go live on Monday (March 14) via DirectTV, just in time for Miami Music Week.

EDMtv's programs will include scripted shows, documentaries, broadcast news, 3D festival streaming and other event coverage. It is expected to reach about 21 million households worldwide.

The network's founder, Matt Bolton, said in a statement that "the music is just the start."
