Detroit House & Techno All Stars to Play Flint Benefit Show

As the Flint, Mich., water crisis continues to unravel, some musicians have been stepping up with support for affected residents, from donating bottles of water to speaking out through their music. Now the dance community is taking its turn with a benefit for Flint packed with prominent Detroit producers and DJs. 

GRiZ Raises Over $30,000 for Charity, Receives 'Spirit of Detroit' Award

Jus Friends will present Something In the Water (Does Not Compute) with Detroit House & Techno All Stars on Friday (March 11), in hopes of raising awareness and funds. The event will be held at Detroit nightclub TV Lounge and will feature three stages of over 30 DJs and performers. ​ 

The lineup includes Detroit's defining Moodymann (Kenny Dixon Jr.), and other homegrown acts such as DJ Minx, Patrice Scott, Detroit Techno Militia, Bruce Bailey and Keith Worthy. Also appearing is techno pioneer Kevin "KMS" Saunderson as a celebrity guest bartender and poet Jessica Care Moore.

All proceeds will go towards Flint by helping provide financial resources for residents and donations to the Child Health and Development Fund. Presale tickets can be found here
