Norwegian star Kygo has decided to delay the release of his debut album -- but as a consolation, he has decided to drop a teaser of it.

The LP, Cloud Nine, was initially set to be released Friday, Feb. 12, but now arrives in mini-mix form. Listen below:

"I’ve been working on this album for a year and a half," he says. "I don’t want to rush anything now in the end and I want it to be perfect when I release it!"

He concludes by saying, "It’s 99% done so it’s very close now!" While the seven-minute preview touches upon his well-known tropical house sound, indie elements break into the mix as well.

Kygo Announces Cloud Nine Festival in Norway

Kygo is currently on break from his headlining tour, but will resume in Europe starting March 27 in Amsterdam.
