LCD Soundsystem fans, rejoice.

Fresh off the surprise Christmas Eve release of their first new song in five years, The New York Times is reporting the band will reunite to play at Coachella Music & Arts Festival next year.

LCD will join another marquee reunion at Coachella 2016 -- Guns N' Roses, who Billboard yesterday (Dec. 30) reported will headline the festival's 2016 edition.

A representative for the band declined to comment. Representatives for Coachella had not returned a request for comment at time of publication.

"LCD Soundsystem are getting back together," an insider with ties to the band told Billboard several months back. "They are waiting for their guitarist who is part of Hot Chip to finish up and then they are getting back to it."

Representatives had previously shot down the reunion rumors after Consequence of Sound first reported it on Oct. 8. But Billboard confirmed via a well-placed source that the New York outfit was "definitely reuniting" and had big touring plans with major festival appearances in the works.

Another source told Billboard that the James Murphy-fronted group will headline AEG Live's new Panorama Festival in New York in 2016, among other appearances.

Coachella, set for April 15-17 and April 22-24 in Indio, Calif., will mark the band's first performance since their sold-out swan song bow at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 2, 2011.
