Currently in the midst of the European leg of their tour supporting expansive sophomore LP How Does It Feel (Columbia), electro pop duo MS MR returns today with a lush re-work of their fire-starter of a second single "Criminals," provided by Los Angeles based, British/Australian bred electronic duo MAIZE, premiering exclusively via Billboard.

MAIZE is songwriter/producer Tim Metcalfe (Robbie Williams, Sway Clarke II) and drum & bass DJ/composer Piers Baron (Jetman Dubai: Young Feathers). Fusing their love for pop music with electronic roots, the duo creates music for the masses while still guarding that special subterrestrial edge, exemplified perfectly in their edit of "Criminals," which opens with singer Lizzy Plapinger's beguiling vocal slurring the hook "Heaven I want you" over a bed of atmospheric pads, before the track unravels in perfect pop rave harmony.

“Rather than just remix the track in the traditional sense, we wanted to re work the song and make it sound more like a MAIZE/MS MR collaboration," MAIZE tells Billboard. "We aimed to bring something a bit different to the table and added some '90s elements to the song while focusing on the memorable hook in the chorus."

Give the remix a spin, and keep an eye out for MAIZE's debut single hitting in early 2016.
