Kill Paris Changes His Stage Name Following Paris Attacks

Colorado-based artist Corey Baker, better known as Kill Paris, has recently changed his stage name to Chill Harris in light of the tragic attacks in Paris on Nov. 13.

He explains in an emotional Facebook post that the origin of his moniker stems from the character Paris, Juliet’s wealthy and entitled suitor, in the play Romeo and Juliet. The name Kill Paris was intended to act as a satire against a side of life that suppresses creativity and love. Read the post below:

While the majority of fans have responded with their upmost respect and gratitude for the producer’s decision, several commenters are torn about the change, saying his identity is what initially attracted their attention and believe the change is unnecessary. The producer has yet to provide further details on the extent of his new solo title.
