X Ambassadors are currently promoting "Unsteady," the follow-up to their smash-hit "Renegades." "This was my first time working on a remix, and I couldn't have picked a better song to start," Novak tells Billboard via email. "The song is special to me because when I heard [frontman] Sam Harris' vocals, I really believed what he was singing. What a voice and lyrically, what vulnerable, relatable writing."

Though both Novak and Stravy (whose given name is Jerry Kurty) hail from Chicago, they didn't meet until finding each other on Twitter. A few weeks later, Stravy went to one of her shows, and a creative partnership was born. "I personally thought she was super talented, and had an amazing attitude towards what she was doing but also the music industry [in general]," he says.
