Mysteryland announced the dates of its 2016 festival yesterday, as well as some pretty significant changes to its structure. Not only will the 2016 dates be separate from the already-festival-filled Memorial Day Weekend (instead, it will be held June 10-13), but the minimum age is dropping to 19 -- a move designed to increase attendance.

The festival's campgrounds will remain restricted to those 21 and older, but allowing younger attendees still marks a significant shift for the three-year-old festival, which was previously considered among the more "grown-up" EDM events.

Fans also suggest that other fiscally-troubled festivals like Tomorrowland U.S. and TomorrowWorld may follow suit, and also allow a younger audience to participate in their 2016 events, though so far nothing has been confirmed.
