Major Lazer frontman Diplo recently stopped by 103.3 AMP Radio with host Vanessa Hale in Boston for an exclusive interview. Jumping off the success of "Lean On," which streaming giant Spotify declared to be the “song of the summer,” they discussed the trio’s latest single, "Powerful," featuring Ellie Goulding.

Diplo attributes the popularity of the record to the atypical pop production, a trend that artists such as Justin Bieber have employed on records including "What Do You Mean?" and his most recent single "Sorry."

While the Mad Decent leader says his vigorous touring schedule allows him little to no downtime to relax, he mentions a few exciting projects in the works. Watch the video below:

“We’ve got a little more gas in Major Lazer,” says Diplo. “We’ve got another single coming out. We’re reissuing that album…Then we have a new album we’re going to put out next year around August or September and a single around Coachella with The Weeknd, so that’s going to be dope.”
