The island-wide closing time also contains provisions for smaller clubs -- beach clubs will close at midnight, while cafés conciertos will close at 5 a.m. The decision comes in the wake of a number of clubs violating the closing times dictated by their individual licenses.

The new regulations will go into effect next summer.
