Nero Releases Highly Anticipated Second Album 'Between II Worlds'

It's been four years since London's Nero topped the UK album charts with their critically acclaimed debut Welcome Reality.

Their sophomore effort Between II Worlds -- released today (Sept. 11) through MTA/Mercury Records -- finds the Grammy Award-winning outfit an evolved act in both concept and composition. Daniel Stephens, Joe Ray and vocalist Alana Watson have traversed a rocky road in progressing from a dance act to a unified three-piece live band.

Nero Aims to Shift From Dance Act to Live Electronic Band on Second Album

"We're one of the only electronic acts that does this level of live theater, which is great," Stephens told Billboard in May. "But it's a balance. Sometimes we feel like we're stuck in this quandary where the dance fans will complain if the shows don't sound like the album, but that's a lot easier in a DJ set than with a live band. But we think we can do it. It's almost like you're stuck between two worlds."

The outfit will follow the release with their second BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix with Pete Tong on Saturday, as well as a previously announced 20 date North American tour.

Nero's Between II Worlds is now available on iTunes.
