While most dance music fans know Pete Tong as the acclaimed host of BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix and Essential Selection, last September he donned the role of producer to provide "The Bumps” for Suara Music alongside John Monkman.

Now, one year later, the deep house collaboration has received an equally as enticing remix package.

Moby makes his debut on the Barcelona-based label with the lead remix of the single. Having been a seminal force in the industry for two decades, Richard Melville Hall has seemingly explored every nook of electronic music by now. His take on “The Bumps” parallels the energy of the original, providing a classy, comfortably-paced rendition. Moby capitalizes on the short vocal hook, turning the once fleeting motif into the backbone of his reconstruction.

Moby said of the remix: “So nice to finally collaborate with my old friend Pete Tong on this late night track!”

The full remix package of Pete Tong and John Monkman’s “The Bumps” will be released on Suara Music on Sept. 6, featuring remixes by Moby, Coyu, and Julian Jeweil. Listen to Moby's remix below.
