Tritonal & Cash Cash Join Forces for 'Untouchable,' Announce Fall Tour: Exclusive
Two of EDM's rising stars collaborated on the melodic big room anthem which features vocals from J Hart.
DJs are often defined by their guest vocalists: Avicii and Aloe Blacc, Zedd and Foxes, Calvin Harris and, well, almost everyone. But intra-EDM collaborations are becoming increasingly common. David Guetta and Afrojack's joint hit "Hey Mama" is nearing the top 10, and Skrillex and Diplo's supergroup, Jack U, is looking to be one of the biggest breakout acts of 2015.
Now, two of dance music's rising stars, Cash Cash and Tritonal, have joined forces on "Untouchable," a melodic, big room anthem that features James Abrahart, also known as J Hart, who guested on Paul Oakenfold's "Surrender" and Vicetone's "Follow Me." Listen to the track first on Billboard below.
Cash Cash, a New York electronic trio of brothers Jean Paul and Alex Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch, are best known for their hit “Take Me Home" with Bebe Rexha. Although they're reportedly working with stars like Busta Rhymes and Christina Perri, it seems they've met their match with producers Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, better known as the Texas DJ duo Tritonal.
Technically, they've worked together before; in October, Tritonal remixed Cash Cash's “Surrender,” which features frequent EDM topliner Julia Michaels. But this was the first time they actually hit the studio. "The song came from such an inspirational place," Reed and Cisneros said, calling the week-long collaboration a year highlight. "Upon finishing, we all felt we'd written a special one."
Big Beat/Atlantic Records has confirmed that Cash Cash and Tritonal are planning an Untouchable Tour for this fall, but details are forthcoming.
