A once-in-a-lifetime New York City moment, dahlings! Mariah Carey took over Radio City Music Hall on Monday night (March 25) with her Caution World Tour and brought out surprise guests Slick Rick and Blood Orange to perform fan favorite track “Giving Me Life” live for the first time.

“We’ve only done this once at soundcheck so...what could be better?” Mimi quipped while wearing a curve-hugging black gown with neon piping made of glowing LED lights. “But this is one of my favorites off the album, and I know that a lot of the Lambily have said this is their favorite as well, so we’ll just get right into it.”

Halfway through the song, Slick Rick sauntered onstage in an oversized white suit and his signature eyepatch to deliver his verse as the sold-out crowd went wild. Blood Orange also joined the fun to play guitar on the song’s woozy, extended outro over Mariah’s feathery freestyle ad libs.

Later in the show, Slick Rick also performed a solo version of “La Di Da Di,” his 1985 collaboration with Doug E. Fresh, while Carey made a costume change, returning to the stage to belt out her hits “My All,” “Vision Of Love” and a #JusticeForGlitter medley in a sparkling red gown.
