BTS' J-Hope Tried to Pull an April Fool's Day Prank, But Was Caught Red-'Headed'

You have to wake up pretty early in the morning to fool the ARMY. But that didn't stop BTS' J-Hope from trying to pull a fast one on the band's fans on Thursday (April 1), which, is, of course, April Fool's Day.

It all started when the singer posted an image on Weverse, displaying what appeared to be his new, flame-red hairdo.

"I dyed my hair," Hope, who has been rocking black locks, wrote as part of the prank. "So I can't post a selfie."

The revelation sent the ARMY into overdrive -- for a few minutes, anyway, until they began to suspect that it was a joke and that J-Hope was using a filter.

It didn't take long for the singer from the Grammy-nominated K-pop superstar septet to admit he was messing with them in a follow-up post featuring a series of laughing and snickering emoji and the message: "Yup it's April 1."
