After becoming the unparalleled kings of Twitter, BTS has joined TikTok.
The act announced its arrival on the viral music-based video app today (Sept. 25) through a tweet, sharing a link to their TikTok account.
“BTS TikTok Channel Open!” read the tweet, shared through the Big Hit Entertainment-run BTS account, which shares most professional announcements from the group versus the personal account shared by the members through which they share their lives and careers with the world.
To launch the account, BTS shared two videos, one featuring the members excitedly introducing their arrival on TikTok, and the other where they performed a variety of hand gestures as their hit “Boy With Luv” plays.
Shortly after joining the app, the group rapidly surpassed 1 million followers on TikTok, as each of the videos racked up millions of views within hours of their being uploaded.
Along with TikTok and Twitter, BTS also has a variety of other social media accounts, including on Instagram and Facebook, and regularly communicates with fans through Big Hit Entertainment’s WeVerse app.
