Here's How Many People Saw BTS' 'Bring the Soul' Movie in Theaters

Hint: it's a lot.

BTS’ third feature-length theatrical release Bring the Soul: The Movie saw over 2.55 million admissions, Trafalgar Releasing announced today (Aug. 28).

Fans from across 112 global territories saw the film, which was releaed on Aug. 7 and documented 2018 travels and performances from international stops of BTS’ Love Yourself tour. The limited engagement release of Bring the Soul, the widest ever release for an event film, airead in over 5,000 theatres across the world. 

Bring the Soul: The Movie garnered a global box office of $24.3 million, and in the U.S., where it was the No. 10 movie in the country its opening weekend, it earned over $4.5 million. BTS’ prior feature-length documentary Burn the Stage: The Movie had a global box office of $18.5 million globally, while the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul concert film, released earlier this year, grossed $11.7 million in its initial one-day release in January; extra showings were later aired in select theaters in February.

The film was produced by Big Hit Entertainment, the company behind BTS, and distributed by Trafalgar. A docu-series built off of the movie is currently airing with a new episode each week on WeVerse.
