South Korean septet BTS will release their first Japanese single of 2019 in July. “Lights” will front their Lights/Boy With Luv single album and be released digitally on July 3 in Japan and physically in the U.S. and U.K. on July 5.

Along with the new song and a Japanese version of Map of the Soul: Persona single “Boy With Luv,” which was originally released in April featuring Halsey, the group's Lights/Boy Wiith Luv will also feature a Japanese version of last year’s Love Yourself: Answer single “IDOL.”

“Lights” is set to be BTS’ first original Japanese song in four years to be released with a music video.

BTS most recently released their song "Airplane Pt. 2" in Japanese last November.

"LIghts" was first reported earlier this month, but a statement from BTS’ British representatives sent out on Friday (May 31) ahead of the group’s sold-out shows this weekend at Wembley Stadium on June 1 and 2 reiterated that the song “conveys the message of hope that one can connect with the others through sounds and see each other’s lights whenever they close their eyes.”

BTS will bring their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself concert series to Japan in early July, hitting up Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on July 6 and 7 and then heading to Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa on July 13 and 14.

The Lights/Boy With Luv single album will be released in three different limited editions, each of which will feature the CD with either a DVD or photo book, as well as a standard CD format.
