Lin-Manuel Miranda attends the official after party for "Siempre, Luis" at The Latinx House on Jan. 25, 2020 in Park City, Utah.

"Yeah we're staying home too; it's the safe and cool thing to do!" So began Lin-Manuel Miranda's Periscope video to raise money for The Actors Fund and Broadway Cares, shared on Sunday night (March 15).

During the livestream, the Broadway vet performed a jaunty, live rendition of "My Shot" from his smash 2015 Broadway musical Hamilton after encouraging people to stay home and wash their hands in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

"Rise up/ If you're livin' on your knees, you rise up/ Tell your brother that he's gotta rise up/ Tell you sister that she's gotta rise up/ When are these colonies gonna rise up?" he sang on track's defiant bridge.

Last week, Miranda also unveiled an unreleased Hamilton demo track "I Have This Friend" in an effort to spread some cheer in the midst of the ongoing global pandemic. (His at-home performance arrives on the heels of the Broadway industry's unprecedented month-long closure, with The Actors Fund and Broadway Cares raising money to help the hundreds of actors and artists temporarily out of work.)
