George Salazar and MJ Rodriguez perform on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Oct. 1, 2019.

What happens when you take a Broadway and B-movie classic, restage it for a modern audience and get Pose star Mj Rodriguez and Be More Chill's George Salazar to star? According to their latest performance, you get gold.

On Tuesday (Oct. 1), Rodriguez and Salazar appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform "Suddenly Seymour," the beautiful love ballad at the center of the revival of the 1982 horror musical, Little Shop of Horrors. With Salazar starring as the eponymous Seymour, and Rodriguez as his star-crossed love interest Audrey, the two took the television audience by storm with a understated, gorgeous performance of the now-classic song.

With just a couple of folding chairs and a powerhouse vocal chorus backing them, Rodriguez and Salazar delivered their first television performance of the track with grace, both showing off their vocal chops as they did so.

The new production of Horrors, which is having its limited run at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, Calif. until Oct. 20, also stars Glee alum Amber Riley as the sadistic venus flytrap Audrey II. Get your tickets to see Little Shop of Horrors here, and check out Mj Rodriguez and George Salazar's performance of "Suddenly Seymour" on The Late Late Show below:
