Imogen Heap and the Round house Choir perform during the Roundhouse Gala in London on March 7, 2013.

Adding a soft twist to the iconic Harry Potter series, Imogen Heap announced on Thursday (Sept. 20) that her new body of music for Broadway’s hit show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be released on Nov. 2.

Written, composed, performed and recorded by the Brit singer, The Music of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is presented as four contemporary musical suites, each showcasing one of the play’s theatrical acts. The unique new album format chronologically features the music heard in the play transporting listeners on a sonic journey through the world of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

“This album is like nothing I’ve ever attempted before,” Imogen Heap notes in a press release. “With over 100 moments of music in the play, the challenge was how to weave them together, and I think it has manifested into a really enjoyable listen. It is crafted to be listened to in its entirety, taking the listener through different worlds within each suite."

Based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child made its world premiere in July 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London and its also on view at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway. The Music of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be available online and in stores on Nov. 2.
