Leslie Odom, Jr. (L),  Lin-Manuel Miranda (R) and cast of 'Hamilton' perform on stage during 'Hamilton' Grammy performance for The 58th Grammy Awards at Richard Rodgers Theater on Feb. 15, 2016 in New York City.

Today marks the birth of America’s first Secretary of Treasury, and the iconic face of the ten dollar bill, Alexander Hamilton.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the smash Broadway musical about the birthday boy, took a moment to celebrate the Founding Father on the day he would've turned 261 (Jan. 11). He posted video on Twitter Thursday morning of him singing a dolorous "Happy Birthday" on piano, captioning it "Good morning & happy birthday to A.Ham."

Hamilton recently expanded to a 20-city tour, hitting major cities such as Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, London, San Diego and more. Watch video of Miranda's birthday wishes below.
