Jason Mraz and Betsy Wolfe sing "Bad Idea" live.

It only takes a taste of Jason Mraz's portrayal of Dr. Pomatter to know you need to go see Waitress on Broadway. The two-time Grammy Award winner is currently making his Broadway debut at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre opposite Betsy Wolfe, through January 14th.

Based on the 2007 film starring Keri Russell, Waitress tells the story of Jenna (Betsy Wolfe), who finds herself trapped in a toxic marriage when she unexpectedly becomes pregnant, upping the drama as she falls head over heels for her dorky married gynecologist, Dr. Pomatter.

Mraz spoke to Billboard prior to stepping on stage earlier this month to discuss getting the cold call from Sara Bareilles, the mastermind behind the entire show, asking him to try his hand at Broadway. He explained, "They could have cast anyone and they're choosing me, so I'm going to step up. I'm going to do whatever it takes. I'm not going to eat sugar. I'm going to be ready and I'm going to embody this guy and I'm going to make it so that Jenna falls in love with Dr. Pomatter every night."

Today, Mraz and Wolfe unveil a live music video of the adorable forbidden love song, "Bad Idea," a tune which Mraz described to Billboard as "a joy ride." Get caught up in the magic of the show in the exclusive video, below.
