The 2020 Billboard Music Awards are on Wednesday night (Oct. 14), and only one out of five history-making, chart-topping hits can be crowned as this year's Top Hot 100 Song.

Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus used the "Old Town Road" to take themselves straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, where they never left for 19 weeks to become the longest-leading No. 1 single in Hot 100 history. Then Billie Eilish came in and dethroned the two like a "bad guy."

The "Truth Hurts," but Lizzo is 100% that star who found the spotlight after Netflix's Someone Great placed it in a memorable scene with Gina Rodriguez.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's steamy "Señorita" single was the second male-female duet to top the chart last year, following Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's "Shallow." Last but not least in the category, Lewis Capaldi notched his first No. 1 hit "Someone You Loved."

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards will air Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. ET, live from Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre on NBC, with Kelly Clarkson returning for her third year as the evening's host. The 2020 Billboard Music Awards are produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC Entertainment, the parent company of Billboard.
