Lil Nas X & More Artists React to 2020 Billboard Music Awards Nominations: 'This Feeling Never Gets Old'

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards nominations were announced Tuesday morning (Sept. 22), and everyone from Lil Nas X and Machine Gun Kelly to Thomas Rhett and Dan + Shay took to social media to celebrate their nominations.

Lil Nas X, who earned the second-most number of nods for the year with a whopping 13 behind Post Malone's 16 nods in 15 categories, posted a smiling shot of himself in profile with the message: "Thank you billboard for every nomination!"

Meanwhile, Rhett -- who's nominated for top country artist, top country male artist and top country album -- wrote, "#BBMAs! This feeling never gets old. So grateful," on Instagram.

Yungblud couldn't contain his excitement at being up for best rock song for "I Think I'm Okay," tagging collaborators Kelly and Travis Barker to share the news. "yo wtf!!! @machinegunkelly @travisbarker wake up !!!!!!" the U.K. rocker wrote, leading Kelly to reply, "YOOOO i’m jumpin all over my room right now wtf just happened" with a series prayer hands, fire and mind-blown emojis.

Following Posty and Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish and Khalid round out the top contenders for this year's batch of awards with 12 nominations each.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards are set to take place live Oct. 14 from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, nearly six months after being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The telecast will premiere at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC with Kelly Clarkson returning for her third stint as host.
