Bebe Rexha caught up with Billboard’s Chelsea Briggs on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday to chat about crossing over into country music, her new album and why Jennifer Lopez inspires her as a musician.
Rexha, whose song “Meant to Be” featured country act Florida Georgia Line, says that she would “absolutely” love to work with country artists again in the future. “I have some things in the works,” she says. “Being in the country world…I’ve never felt love like that before so I’m very grateful for it and I just think it’s so unexpected and beautiful and amazing.”
The singer also discusses her new album Expectations, which drops June 22, telling Billboard, “I’m excited, I’m nervous, I’m everything all in one.”
