This year's top hip-hop artists will be honored on Tuesday night (Oct. 5) for BET's Hip Hop Awards, which are taking over Atlanta's Cobb Energy Center.

The BET Hip Hop Awards will air on BET on Tuesday (Oct. 5) at 9 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. CT.

Who Is Performing at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards?

Baby Keem, Bia, Doechii, Gunna, Isaiah Rashad, Kal Banx, Latto, Lil Jon, Nelly, Paul Wall, Tobe & Fat Nwigwe and Young Thug will all be taking the stage at the event.

Trina, Remy Ma, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J and Jermaine Dupri are among the star-studded presenters of the evening.

Who Is Being Honored at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards?

Nelly will receive the I Am Hip Hop award at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards. This is the top honorary award presented at the show. Previous recipients include LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and last year’s honoree, Master P.

“I am honored to receive this award and humbled to be in such great company of past artists who have received this award,” Nelly said in a statement. “I have been blessed to work with some incredible people in my career, making 22 years go by in the blink of an eye. This award isn’t just about Nelly; it is about my fans, BET, and the people that continue to support me and allow me to do what I love to do.”

Additionally, Tyler, The Creator  is set to receive the cultural influence award in partnership with lifestyle brand Rock the Bells at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards. The award aims to recognize “a younger, innovative, otherworldly artist that has significantly impacted the culture — while uplifting their community,” according to a release from BET. Recipients are selected through an editorial process involving input from LL Cool J.
