Thomas Rhett took center stage at the ACM Awards on Sunday night (Apr. 18) for a performance of two singles from his upcoming Country Again, Side A set -- both of which, appropriately, have "Country" in the title.

Rhett started off playing acoustic in a seated spotlight with just minimal accompaniment, for a stripped-down performance of his brand new Country Again title track. Then, after a verse and chorus of that ballad, Rhett stepped out of the chair to take the mic with his backing band for a rocking performance of his prior smash single, "What's Your Country Song?"

Country Again, Side A, due on April 30, is the first half of what will ultimately be a double LP for Rhett -- and "Country Song," its lead single, recently became Rhett's 16th single to top Billboard's Country Airplay listing. Rhett is up for four trophies at this year's ACM Awards, including male artist of the year and the much-coveted entertainer of the year honors.

The ACM Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by MRC. MRC and Penske Media are co-parent companies of Billboard.
